Monrovia, Liberia — July 2024: The International Christian Medical Fellowship (ICMFEL) launched its first Hydrocephalus Surgical Mission at John F. Kennedy Medical Center (JFK), bringing together medical professionals and partners in a compassionate effort to provide specialized surgical care to patients affected by hydrocephalus. The mission demonstrated ICMFEL’s commitment to making essential healthcare more accessible to vulnerable patients in Liberia.

Hydrocephalus is a serious neurological condition that can cause a buildup of fluid in the brain and may require timely surgical treatment. Through this mission, ICMFEL helped connect patients with specialized care while creating an opportunity for medical professionals to serve communities in need.
